Basics of Laser Cutting

CNC laser cutting technology is a computer-controlled production process in which the laser beam coming from a source producing a high-power beam is directed between axes and cuts and shapes the sheet metal material. Industrial laser cutting machines are the most used technology for cutting profile and pipe materials as well as patterned metal sheets. This manufacturing process is known for its cost efficiency and precise tolerances.

Laser Cutting Machines

** CO2 laser cutting machines are generally used for standard production purposes (e.g. to cut thinner metals)
** Fiber laser cutting machines are more powerful and used to cut thicker sheet metal, but are more costly than CO2 laser cutting machines.

Tolerance

The standard tolerance level for most CNC laser cutting machines ranges from 0.1 to 0.2 mm, depending on the size and requirements. However, tolerance levels can be customized according to our customers’ requirements.
